Just digging around, i'm not sure how many people are hardcore space RTS fans but this was one of the best games i ever played, there was a sequel planned but was apparently dumped, now apparently there are talks of it actually firing up again.

    Nexus 2 is coming

For those who were familiar with it, Nexus was a really graphically intense strategy which was followed by a very concrete storyline, the engine was capable of great things in its time and the video trailer on the website was the formerly released tech demo, i bet the final result will be more then that after seing the first black sun engine first hand!.

I believe the company is starting a fund where hopefully they can work from that, but i hope they suceed, this engine would be mammoth with todays hardware!

    What do people think,

Hope this is in the right section -
    Cata.

Awesome! That was a great game actually. Surprised it's coming back but I'm happy! My only problem is the original requires the DVD and nobody bothered to crack it.

Yeah, it was why i was happy to own the game, still play it frequently and the tiny time multiplayer was up, it was some of the most immersive play i had ever known, custom ship and module kitting is always a plus in games like this, the engine was pure win though, beautiful effects and the tech demo looks like it could blow alot of the current space based engines away, just look at them visuals! :p for a demo released years ago!

(March 2005 and they were doing visuals like that then!?)

    Oh my god! Goosebumps attack!!

The first Nexus was great! Despite the game was sort of limited in comparison with Imperium Galactica...

Yeah, iirc the original only had like 6 missions, never really played multiplayer. I would buy it on Steam, but if it's still only 6 missions, not worth $10 even, but $5 perhaps. I'm sure the MP community is sparse.

According to steam it has six episodes set over 26 missions.

Yeah saw that, but don't recall that many missions, but maybe they added some.

That's weird. I recall playing like 15+ missions since retail launch.

Maybe I'm not remembering properly. Maybe I'll give it a whirl again.
