i was just lookin at ign.com and i saw they did a hands on of frontlines: fuel of war ... and its supposed to be very similar to battfield 2 modren combat.. this not only has a large amount of vehicles to use but its a hugge battlefield in terms of maps with 64 player standard servers with the same battlefield control points on the map . they mention some other similarities, it comes outs in feburary i believe but it definitely looks good.

i just found this also on gamestop
Were other games used as inspiration when designing Frontlines?
The work we did on Desert Combat was in many ways a driving force for Frontlines. The way DC filled the void for modern day military shooters at the time, is the same way Frontlines was conceived; to fill a void for near-future military shooters where players could experience the weapons that the military is prototyping now, for use on tomorrow’s battle grounds. Of course our involvement with the Battlefield series and being a part of DICE during the development of BF2 continued our role in this genre of gaming.

also, if u think this is a bf2142 type game, its not. real weapons that will be used by the government in the near future
