Due to the up coming release of next gen games I would like to know how games run on old and new hardware alike.
I am asking for all gamers to list their hardware and experiences with next gen games and demos whether they run the games on dx9 or dx10 and on what settings and resolutions.

Games to look for:
Lost Planet for the PC
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare II for the PC
DIRT for the PC
Overlord for the PC
Call of Juarez for the PC
Flight Simulator X for the PC
or anything else considered next gen or close to next gen.

If this is a gaming question, no point in getting Integrated graphics!
-
Well I think Intel and nVidia would be the perfect combination.
-
I have the intel+nvidia combination in my sig, and while it's definitely not a gaming computer, I can run FSX on all low settings and lowest resolution with 30-35 average fps.
-
Intel + nVidia is pretty good at the moment.
-
intel + nvidia is the only combination that can play dx10 games right now :0 , i haven't seen an amd with dx10 platform out yet.

amd + nvidia could play dx10 games just the same. im positive someone has a laptop like that.

You have my vote for Intel + nvidia. ATI's 2600 isn't out yet until this July..So we shall wait..

I say Intel+invidia as well, since I currently run an Intel with an 8800 in my desktop, and it plays DiRT, Lost planet, and Call of Jaurez great! Which are all really fun games! Especially DiRT, infact, everyone should go buy DiRT! now!
Oh, sorry i cant tell you laptop performance since my laptop just died
But Lost planet averages 50FPS on ultra settings in DX10. 1280x720
Call of Jaurez gets about 50FPS as well on max settings in DX9 1440x900
DiRT, depends on the race, some I get 80+FPS, some I get just 18+fps all on Ultra settings, 1440x900
But this is on my system with an 8800GTS 320mb. I can't help ya on anything laptop related. Until I get my IFL90 in a few weeks. -
For next gen games, you'll be seeing ATI/AMD in laptops because AMD bought ATI...
