Not sure if other people are aware of this or not, but if you ordered a laptop that includes the 8800M from ROCK/EVESHAM (who use the Clevo chassis) then it would appear that stocks have been pushed back to January 2008.

I can only assume this is the case for other suppliers such as EUROCOM, and anyone else who uses the Clevo M570RU.

Bit of a letdown, especially considering NVIDIA were saying "Available for Order Now" in November. You would assume that meant they had supplies ready to go within a few weeks, and especially before Christmas (for the Christmas season). Right now though anyone offering the "First Laptop to use the 8800GTX" are just paper launching like everyone else.

Just FYI, nVidia doesn't make the cards, so all they can do is give the specs to the ODM's to manufacture. It's the ODM's and/or OEM's who have to get the supplies ready.

nVidia did the same thing with the 8800 GT, ran out of stock because there weren`t enough cards out there. Now lappy resellers are having a hard time getting their hands on those mobile GPUs...

Yeah, I was gonna go with an 8800 GT to put in a Small Form Factor PC, but nowhere to be found. Guess it's better that way. I've overspent this last year. :)

htwingnut ,why would you look for a 8800 GT when the 9th series are just around the corner? :p
Well, about the 8800M GTX,SLI isn`t even scheduled before january, maybe the card itself won`t be available for the public until then. Which is fine by me, Xmas presents will be cheaper this way :D
