wow microsoft is always shooting themself in the foot. I always wonder why they nenver brought things like Forza and Halo 3 to PC.
-
They will release it on the console first and then they will do an unoptimised port for the PC that will run at 20 fps (after 5 patches) on an over clocked QX9300 and SLI GTX280M. Then they will wonder why they got poor sales.
-
Well that sucks. Now I'm happy I got a 360

All hail the magnificent consoles
I have to say I didn't expect this; I remember a few years ago Microsoft demoing this game on a quad-core processor, to show how each core of the processor could handle a certain task (or maybe it was a different game). -
-
Obviously they're going to go with the "everyone-pirates-on-pc" as the main reason for not releasing it on the PC platform, just like GOW 2.
See how Crytek was crying over how pirating ruined their sales for Crysis. I'm not saying that pirates are not affecting PC game sales. But FFS, look at the damn game, it's not a port from the console, but it plays like an unoptimized port.
And then they expect everyone to rush out and empty their wallets for a game with graphics that are "far superior to the hardware at the time" but plays like some generic FPS. You don't see Activision complaining about their COD 4 sales. -
Isn't it easier to port something from PC to the 360? -
i think the dumbest thing is dropping a extra market because of piracy on that market, there are still plenty of people who would buy it for pc and xbox game sales would not drop by that large a margin i would think. we just need to teach everyone how to pirate console games lol
gather round kids, im gonna teach you something... -

Good thing, I have a 360 and a PS3. however it isn't decided yet... it doesn't state in the article that there is absolutely no chance.. it just says there are no plans

pc gaming is dying, have thought it for a while now.
actually dying is harsh, its withering and soon will become a niche market consisting almost entirely of online games. -
PC gaming will never die. Even if not many new games are released, we still have a ridiculously huge library of games to chose from.

People often forget that the PC is the largest gaming platform . . . not the Xbox or PS.
-
On topic: This is lame because this WAS Microsoft's main game used when demoing DX10 technology. -

PC gaming i think because of STEAM, will cause developers to start going that way. Alot of people are downloading STEAM and tons of people are buying gaming notebooks now. I still think we will see another golden age of PC gaming once again.

What happened to Microsofts big push of "Games for Windows" !
As I'm a pc gamer only, once I read a bad review of a "Ported" game, which is usually the case, my money stays in my pocket !
So no Alan Wake for me ! -

STEAM is helping PC gaming but now I am getting worried about the bandwidth caps all the ISPs have or are proposing. Don't these morons realize that if your bandwidth consumption is high, it doesn't mean we are pirating content, we may be legally streaming videos and downloading digital goods. Why are you stifling progress you morons? I'm just really upset about this. -

So piracy is the reason for the bandwith caps? That's ridiculous.
No Alan Wake for PC?
