I can't choose dx10 rendering in wic. Does anyone have any idea why? Specs are at the bottom. I'm using the 175.32 drivers.

Downloading 1.009 now. Strange, nothing mentioned about patches at the sierra website and the download link I got when buying the game (from sierra) only provided me with 1.005.

Edit: Patches don't work. Tried both 1.008 and 1.009, but installer complains I have a different language, so won't update. Strange, cause both game and patch are english.

Edit2: Worked. Found a different file that did update it to 1.0.0.8
No luck though. Still not able to check the "use dx10 rendering" box

Have you tried reinstalling? Or "repairing" the installation?

Not yet, I downloaded it from the Sierra website and am only allowed to install it 5 times (only found out after I paid). Thought to first try other ways before reinstalling.

If you run the installer (assuming the download came in the form of a self-extracting installer), you should have an option to repair the install. I had to do this a while ago for WiC because I kept getting a .dll error. It was fixed after repairing the installation.
