    Hey guys,

I just got my Dell Inspiron 1520 today and I got battlefield 2 installed and everything....but the only resolutions I can pick are 800x600 and 1024x786...whats up with that?

My native resolution is 1400x900...so why is it only letting me choose those ?
My desktop has all the resolutions available.

Good thing I can play 1024x768 on max settings without a hitch :)
    Very happy!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

Bafflefield 2 does not support widescreen. Your options are to play the game letterboxed or stretched (I recommend choice #1).

There's a way to enable widescreen in BF2... google it.. When I played BF2 in the past, I had no problem running it @1920x1200 res. IIRC, it involved modifying the shortcut, nothing more ;)

i cant even get the game to start - whenever i try to start it up it just loads the bf2 screen, then goes black to adjust resolutions and then goes back to the desktop and closes down the program... THIS SUCKS

i have admin rights on, xp compatibility mode on, updated the game, updated my drivers... the game just will not start, it'll pretend to start, then just stop before even beginning. smoeone help me :(

It could be the Vista compatibility problem... It still runs fine on WinXP...
