I posted this in another gaming forum but I got no responses- they probably laugh at what I am asking but I'll give it a try here..
Does anyone have any ideas on some good games I can get for my laptop? I like driving simulations but I have been out of the gaming world for so long I am open to trying all sorts of different games. I have NFS most wanted and I love it, I have Tom Clancy's Pandora tomorrow and its ok, plus a few more but nothing that really floats my boat. Looking at the previous posts the Half Life series looks like its popular so I am going to wait until the orange box comes out to pick that up, and I am going to pick up GTA San Andreas this weekend. What others do you guys suggest?
    Here are my specs:
HP Pavilion with a AMD Turion 64 MK-36 2.0 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 with 128 megs of Ram
    2 Gigs of ram
    Vista Home Premium

I know my laptop is bottom rung and I don't expect any awesome performance out of it but hey its better than my Sega Saturn or my previous computer- a celeron 466 :err:

I love Warcraft III.. if you want some RTS action, try Warcraft III (it also has a bunch of amazing custom maps, definitely check those out. I actually rarely play the regular game. DOTA FTW)

If you don't like that, definitely get Half-Life 2, episode 1 and the Orange box like you said.. GREAT game right there.

If you like driving try something like Test Drive Unlimited, or colin mcrae but dont get Dirt because it will not run on your pc very well at all

An older game that will run well on your machine is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. It is a few years old but still a lot of fun in my opinion.

Hmm... Age of Empires II. A classic. Also try Runescape, if you want some MMORPG action. It's free, and web-based.

I haven't played for years. But I started playing in 2000, when runescape just had one server. Man, those were the days...

Cool, thanks for all the replies guys! That article on the 6150 gave me a little more insight on the capabilities of my card. I live out in the middle of nowhere (this means no big box stores and no high speed internet unless I go satellite) so I have to mail order most of my tech stuff- where are some good places to get games online? Another question I have came up while I was checking out some of the game requirements on system labs' site- I have a AMD Turion MK-36 (2.01 GHz) and it comes up as "performance rated at 2.51 GHz" whats the deal with that? Is it actually faster than its advertised?

No.. I'm pretty sure that's compared to a Pentium 4.. or something like that. Your cpu is fine for where your gps is at.

For games.. just try Amazon, Newegg, even try google product search, you can search for lowest price and stuff (BUT MAKE SURE to check for website reviews or bbb.com to make sure the website yuo order from is legit)
