As long as you take the cpu that was used in the score into account as that makes a bid difference to the result, also the resolution the notebook ran the test is not show either.
So take results with a big pinch of salt. -
Yes, it's a decent benchmark, but you need to dig it up. Don't just look at their "comparison list", take a look at each test used and on what machine it was used on(since they don't discriminate between DDR2 and GDDR3 GPUs or with different CPU configurations).
They are normally pretty accurate on GPU specs though(clocks, shaders etc.) -

I'm trying to figure out what card I want.

If you need a direct comparison between specific GPUs, just ask in the "GPU comparison" thread and we'll tell you from personal experience. If you have a particular list of games you want to run, perhaps ask in the "Can My Notebook Run It?" thread.
If you need a new notebook suggestion, perhaps try the "What Notebook Should I Buy?" subforum. -
I used that site to narrow down a range of GPUs to look for, but the specific rankings are approximate. As suggested above, you can narrow down your selection and then get feedback from here on hardware combinations.

They're good.
All the arbitrary numbers aren't as useful as reading the reviews at the bottom though. -
Notebook Check .net any good for GPU comparsion?
