    hi guys,

    can anyone please explain tome what the ExpressCard/54 is? and will there be Graphics Cards that will be mae for this slot that can be used in notebooks?

    Thanks to the power circuitry, power requirements, cooling requirements and even with the faster bus speeds poor connectivity it is VERY unlikely that we will see any decent performing chips on these.

    Its a new kind of slot based off PCI express but in the shape of PCMCIA.

    Yes, for all practical purposes. The other problem is that most laptops aren't wired up to allow an external graphics card to control the display. Ice-Tea wrote an excellent explanation of this.
