It's integrated right?
But it has better performance than my dedicated, but albeit crummy ati mobility x1400?
-
It is integrated, but it does not have better performance than the x1400.
-
well damn it why is it the only thing dell puts on the 1525 now. just 1 month ago my brother got a 1525 with an nvidia 8600 in it. i call shenanigans
-
1 month ago, the 1525 wasn't out. I call that you need do some fact checking.
-
excuse me, 1520
-
seriously why the hell cant you get the good graphics card and vista now
-
There's the XPS m1530, and the Vostro 1500 for that.
-
god dell is being such an ******* right now. we want you to pay 300 dollars more for the xps for the same specs, so you can add another 120 for the graphics card
-
I'm sorry that the company is trying to make money. Such a shame.
-
Huh, my bro got an Dell Inspirson 1520 with an 8400m GS a couple weeks ago for $700.
-
theyre jerking gamers around is what theyre doing. you could buy this toyota with the exact same horsepower and features as the lexus. but in order to get power windows you have to upgrade to the lexus and then pay the extra 300 bucks for the windows!!
-
Gamers pay extra for better equipment, it's as simple as that. Either put up with the wallet or shut it. Companies are entitled to pricing strategies for different types of consumers.
-
well im certainly not buying an xps. i hope theres something out there that i want.
hows your vostro harley -
Best configuration in my part of the world at the time, paid the dell premium for the RAM upgrade since 2GB RAM sticks weren't in stock at the time. Probably paid more than the average than others but I finally replaced the old Toshiba laptop which I used for 4 years and can play the latest games for at least the next 2 years.
I'm personally annoyed they announced the 1530 a month after I bought my current system, but I don't care. -
a vostro with those specs minus 2gb of ram is like 1.1k while the 1530 would be about 1.7k
-
Forgot to mention the free processor upgrade they threw in when I purchased mine, that should narrow the cost down by several hundred US$ (I assume this is the currency you work on).
XPS support is also dedicated and separate from the other product lines, you pay extra for the decent graphics card and dedicated tech support. -
You can still order a 1520 with Windows XP and 8600M GT if you want:

The XPS 1530 is pretty damn cool.

Never ever trust integrated cards, they loads of u know what... Like Harleyquin07 said, pay more or just live with it...
But, if you dun intent to use any high gpu usage programs, X3100 will be just fine. -
-
psssst...he was joking.

-
I real hate DELL vostros.
They are so damn ugly.
God I wish I had a HP laptop -
lol intergrated cards arent that bad for gaming, but intel x3100 is the worst.
p.s ima light gamer on my laptop and play old games, newer games goes on my desktop or else i wont be able to study ^^ -

This thread is not going anywhere and is rather pointless. There are plenty of threads on the X3100 and other integrated graphics cards, please visit one of those to continue conversation. Thanks.
Nothing more than an X3100 in Dell 1525?
