It is integrated, but it does not have better performance than the x1400.

god dell is being such an ******* right now. we want you to pay 300 dollars more for the xps for the same specs, so you can add another 120 for the graphics card

theyre jerking gamers around is what theyre doing. you could buy this toyota with the exact same horsepower and features as the lexus. but in order to get power windows you have to upgrade to the lexus and then pay the extra 300 bucks for the windows!!

Gamers pay extra for better equipment, it's as simple as that. Either put up with the wallet or shut it. Companies are entitled to pricing strategies for different types of consumers.

Best configuration in my part of the world at the time, paid the dell premium for the RAM upgrade since 2GB RAM sticks weren't in stock at the time. Probably paid more than the average than others but I finally replaced the old Toshiba laptop which I used for 4 years and can play the latest games for at least the next 2 years.

I'm personally annoyed they announced the 1530 a month after I bought my current system, but I don't care.

a vostro with those specs minus 2gb of ram is like 1.1k while the 1530 would be about 1.7k

Forgot to mention the free processor upgrade they threw in when I purchased mine, that should narrow the cost down by several hundred US$ (I assume this is the currency you work on).

XPS support is also dedicated and separate from the other product lines, you pay extra for the decent graphics card and dedicated tech support.

Never ever trust integrated cards, they loads of u know what... Like Harleyquin07 said, pay more or just live with it...
But, if you dun intent to use any high gpu usage programs, X3100 will be just fine.

I was going to say that, but then again, I wasn't sure if chrusti was being sarcastic or not. Time to bring back the sarcasm tags.

This thread is not going anywhere and is rather pointless. There are plenty of threads on the X3100 and other integrated graphics cards, please visit one of those to continue conversation. Thanks.
