    Hi there!

I have just bought Vietcong 1, but I have given up this game because I get 17fps average at minimum graphics quality. Even with SWAT 4 I manage to get 20!!

I am currently looking forward to finding a good shooter that can run ok on a INTEL 82852. Ram is 512 and processor is 2.8ghz.

Here are some requeriments for the game:

    - Realistic style of play - no CoD
    - No SUPERHUMAN life - again no CoD :D
    - Good campaign and SP
    - Acceptable graphics
    - Preferable WW2 or modern (irak and so) based

I know its hard to find games like that, but I am sure you know at least a few, dont you?

    thanks in advance

Red Orchestra is the most realistic FPS that I have ever played.

These are the system requirements that I have found for it:
If you want a highly realistic World War II game check out www.battlefront.com. The Combat Mission series is great and it should easily work on your laptop.

    thank you very much.

Tim, Red Orchestra is just multiplayer isnt it? I would like to have a SP mode, if possible.

    Thanks for your time

Yeah it is mainly focused on multiplayer. However there is a mod where you can play single player. However there isn't a story line and the bots are pretty stupid. You can set the bot difficulty but they are still bad IMO.

thanks TIM. I dont have a stable internet connection, so it would not be worth buying RO. Still you know any other games, similiar to this one you mentioned, but with more SP focusing? I wish there was a copy of Brothers in arms for old computers :p

    thanks

America's Army should run on low-medium settings with your rig (It's free, so why not give it a shot). Also, the original Ghost Recon was a very realistic shooter, and the SP campaign is amazing, even if the game is 6(!) years old. I loaded it up again a few months ago and had a ball, and the graphics are still decent-ish.

For WW2, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is a fun game, but it's not particularily realistic and it's multiplayer only. It's free though, so you can't lose.

you could try brothers in arms(there are 2 of them), and battlefield 1942 is pretty good too.
