Blizzard are going to have an immensely difficult time in "balancing" such an epic game, especially in this day and age. I wish them luck!

 

Well i only put on this one because i thought it was mad cool that there was a demonstration and then all those fans were going nuts i thought that was really cool

Yes Zergs have this insane ability now where they all can go under buildings and stuff its crazy.

 

what so good about starcraft?
i have never played the first but that gameplay seems a bit like all the other RTS games
the things i have been hearing about starcraft i was thinking it was the Second Coming

Yep, I downloaded all the Starcraft 2 gameplay videos in HD a while back - looks very promising, and I can't wait until it's released

 

I never really understood the hype either having played it for awhile. Then again, I'm terrible at that kind of RTS gameplay (exactly the same with WC3). I just stuck to the custom games hahah.

i see a lot of threads on "can my computer run starcraft 2". Now im starting to wonder. I should be able to run this on max settings but lower resolution on my m4400 right?

Starcraft's 3 different races are so vastly different, yet very evenly balanced, it makes for alot of different strategies one can use. The gameplay is just alot better than other RTS's in my opinion. Then there's all the awesome custom maps online, each creating their own gameplay style and objective. My personal favorites are all of the defense style maps, and tug o war style maps, and I'm really hoping you can make custom maps like those in SC2 as well.

I am actually really disappointed that the air units aren't more fluid. I don't like how they jerk to face the direction where they are going to attack. They're using 3D for crying out loud, why can't the ships lean and turn.

I also always thought mechanical units when they are destroyed, should have an area damage effect (shrapnel), especially air units. Not devastating, but just a little bit to force your own units or other's units to move before it explodes. It would be a good strategy to focus on the mechanical units that are being supported by organic ones, or use that to your advantage to use the mechanical unit as bait...

Nuclear launch, just shows that how ugly terran or humans or us can get. We will do anything to wipe out the hated, included wiping out our allies.

Try watching some pro gaming commentary in youtube. I know ALOT of people have been waiting for SC2 for about 8 yrs or more b/c the gameplay between the 3 races are so balanced out. And its ALWAYS something different b/c of the vast amount of different strategies. that's what makes the game so awesome. And hopefully it'll be the same for SC:2

It takes skills to control your units, watch your base for attacks, keeping up with your resources/expanding, defending and managing to attack your opponents. It's too good, =).

I've been playing SC: BW since it first came out and it never gets old. I think that's why alot of people are waiting for the sequel. Also this is a bit off topic but did you know that UC Berkerly has an ACTUAL College credit class for Starcraft? lol, i wish i can take the class, I'd be on time every day for sure.

Lol that me laugh at 8 years though it is technically true

The balance was the best aspect the only unbalance i hated was how fast the zergs could spawn lol i remember they'd do the rush kill in like 5 minutes then you were dead. Once every race becomes fully developed though it comes down to skill. I use to do a dragoon rush on long matches and then there would end up being like 100 of them

 

I hope they ditch the 'only hard counters' system Starcraft seemed to have.

 

i loved starcrafts online i still think to this day they had one of the BEST online interfaces
