So I'm trying to remember/find the nvflash version that allows flashing when no adapter is found at all...
I'm sure its possible. I remember seeing it as an option, just not on the version I have anymore:
Will override everything but "no adapter found".
Any ideas?

I recently borked a 6990 with a bad flash. Makes one feel pretty sick. Its in the hands of an expert right now, if that fails I will have to buy a new Bios chip and have a professional solder it on.
Whats weird is I had the correct Vbios and I changed the name of it, somehow it flashed it to a different version. Not sure how it happened, but flashing Vbios is dangerous. -

Yea I have a SPI programmer and I will do it on my own, I guess. Which seems silly cause its all hooked up and my programmer cannot read a Macronix MX25L512mc, I guess I'll have to keep trying new EEPROMs until I get one that works.
I'm particularly annoyed by how unclear Nvflash 64/32 bit support under windows is and how HP vBIOS for Quadro cards seems to brick most ES cards of the same model (I don't know which of these issues even bricked it).
If all goes well for me but not the expert taking care of your 6990m I would be willing to try and fix yours for free.I can solder EEPROMs no problem at this point.
What makes me feel sick is the fact that I (permanently) bricked a good card and was going to unbrick it, but I ripped ALL 8 tracks off the board with the eeprom when trying to desolder it since I don't have a wick or anything (lol just in case you were considering taking me up on that offer) It was ridiculous
Nvflash override "no nvidia adapter found"
