Anyone tried it ? I would like to use it tomorow morning , and I hope for a good sli support in ES V .

 

just loaded so give me a few hours to try out the games.
only thing is i will be able to tell you if it works or not or if i notice much difference in b3 and mw3. im not interested in fraps and all that so wont be able to advise if frames are better or worse.

 

I will be very grateful for information on the stability and especially the temperature.

 

This works a lot better than 285.62.. that one would overheat my 260M and cause it to downclock like crazy. It's worth noting my clocks are higher than ASUS' stock.

 

im getting 63c on cpu and gpu and 53c on both cores.

 

Nevermind, these drivers still kill my GPU. This is very unfortunate and I'll have to see if the copper and drill mod works good when I get my copper blocks in the mail. Last resort is getting the best cooler and hoping that sweetens the deal. I'll also consider that this is a beta driver but I have no hope for recent WHQL releases.

 

For some reason, my Alienware m17x says that there is no supported hardware, or something like that, when I try to install these, or the 285.62 drivers. The newest ones it will let me install are the 280.26's. :^( It has 2 Geforce 280's in it. Supposedly they're supported.

Any thoughts???

 

dont know why as they are fine with mine and i have the 260gtx as well.

are you trying the auto search and upgrade or doing a clean install using driver cleaner and safe mode.

 

I do the clean install with driver sweeper and clean out the registry before installing the drivers. It accepts the 280.26 with no probs. Definitely must be something about those new drivers that don't like a 280m card.

 

strange as thats how i done it.
i must admit though that i used driver cleaner pro and driver sweeper and cc cleaner and all 3 of them found nvidia bits so the one reg cleaner doesnt seem to do the complete job now a days.

 

I have the 285.63 drivers, can I just install the new ones or do I have to use driver sweeper and the whole clean install thingy?

 

I always do the ckean install using safe mode but I'm old skool. Others say its not needed now as auto detect is used but that seems to cause a few problems for a lot of people.
I'm using phone to type but if you need a walkthrough ill post when I get home.

 

A step-by-step walkthrough would be very appreciated from me and probably other people. I would be very thankful if you could post it.

This driver is working very nicely from me. removed some Green artifacts that appeared randomly on BF3. Game now feels smoother though it still needs a GAME update.

Think I got an fps increase of 5-15 fps in areas where I already had +50 fps. Areas where i'm in the 38-45 zone seem unaffected.

Yes, definitely, from 3-5 degrees lower than last 2 official drivers.

 

Not true, max temps increased by 2 degrees after playing BF3 (84C instead of 82C)

 

same here. max temp went from 89 to 92 (fn+1 off)

for the ones that had raised temps have you got the intel matrix storage manager loaded.

 

I don't even know what that is so I'm going to assume no.

 

im out of touch with the newer models and dont know if they need it but on my m860tu it brought my temps down by almost 5c
