Nvidia delivers like always.
Tinderbox:
It might be that you have to wait for the next driver unfortunately
EDIT: seems like you have the only mobile GPU which won`t install due to some bug. Sucks
-
Unfortunately the old 301.42 seems to stay optimal for my 540M (in Optimus
), with symptoms ranging from +0,3 better WEI to no stutter in the game I play, which 306.23 introduced. Also, 306.23 yanks adaptive vsync support from me, no sign of such ''news'' in the release notes.
....further investigation...
and the stutter is apparently caused by none other than vsync misbehaving - the framerates go above 60, to 61-63 and then bad things happen. -
So this is now the best driver for the 670m?
-
Speedy Gonzalez Xtreme Notebook Speeder!
someone is still playing these games especially stalker?
thanks for posting -
Ive reverted back to 302 for my 680m . DX11 was substantially broken on the 306 beta. Alot of crashes in BF3 and Arkham city including some terrible stuttering. Both problems were fixed going back to 302. Seen as the beta was commented by Nvidia as being as good as a release I may give it a miss.
-
-
I originally had the problem with Batman and blamed Physx. But I enabled that on high with DX11 off and no issue. BF3 and Batman crashed everytime on DX11. I understand it could be all manner of things but I never once witnessed the same problem on 304. I will give 306 WHQL a shot and hope I had some other problem that will of worked loose.
Thanks for the feedback anyway. -

I would be very thankfully if someone could answer me this quick question, because tomorrow i should receive my Asus G75 and I'm not sure which driver to install.
So, is this one the best for the gtx 670m? -
i am gonna test out this driver for battlefield 3 with my 675m, if i see better performance then it should be same for 670 since both from same generation
-
Same performance as 306.02 drivers. My laptop is in my signature.
-
ive been told by supplier to use nvidia inspector and gpu capsview instead.
if you are installing windows 7 yourself then this is the newest official driver and should load fine.
loaded fine for me with the 680. used driver cleaner and driver sweeper in safe mode which found loads of obsolete nvidia crap as usual.

open cl error on start up, is that with gpu-z if so i use to get that, if you have an optimus system, upgrading the Intel display driver fixed it for me.
John.

The other choices would have been the 306 beta and the one from the Asus G75-Drivers Website. But that one I think is too old and it wouldn't make sense to take the same beta driver over the official one.
Thanks again for the advice. -
thanks John. i will try that one even though i dont use gpuz much now.
-
i feel same performance in terms of frame rates in bf3
-
EDIT:
I've just noticed that the driver from the Asus Website has also some other parts like optimus etc...Do I need those too?
Can somebody tell if the other components of this zip archive are really needed and if they are also in the 306 integrated or not?

Anyone able to throw out a modded .inf for a lowly M17xr1 280m sli user? I'm REALLY wanting to play Dishonored on my pc, instead of a crappy console, and these new drivers have the sli profile that I'm going to need. Anyone, anyone???

Seems like others are experiencing issues with Adaptive VSync being removed... Or is it just 5xx/4xx cards and older?
-
is there even any point to driver updates for someone on a bootcamped MBP 13" 2010 (320m)?
-
So far Baka has noticed a 3-5fps increase at some areas in GW2 compared to before ._. This is from a lowly GTX485M though.
-
My 680m is performing about the same. I saw 3-4 f.ps increase along with more stability in gw2 and more stability in TSW
-
i stook at same spot on same map in bf 3 and the frame rates were same from before and after update
-
BF3 has been out for awhile and is fairly well optimized. most of the time when you get new drivers from nvidia you see increases in newer games

Baka has not tried with other games since most of the other games gets 60fps on max eitherway except for a few ._.

Can't play BF3 with these drivers also. Game would crash by the end of a round. 304.79 are still the best for me.
-
one full round of B3 but 4 crashes in other games. screen freezes and ctrl alt del to close.
i hope its just the servers and not these drivers as i cant find the default 302.71 that lappy came with. -
all clevo drivers can be found at clevo.com... i have been playing BF3, TSW, Batman AC, and GW2 with 306.23 and had 0 crashes... i did a clean install using the nvidia installer
-
yeh i found it there thanks. just crashed again in B3 so rolling back time.
the 680 one i downloaded was 302.92 and thats the latest one i can find on the P150 page from 17th august -
I went back on playing Final Fantasy XIV, driver crash still happens with 306.23 also BF3 too like on the 306.02
-
302.92 has bumped my windows score back upto 7.1 for graphics as it went down to 7.0 for latest whql wahooo.
now to try B3 again -
Never had any Dx11 game crashed at all. -
302.92 and 2 games of B3 and no crashes. only one server timed out.
-
It seems that in this driver Optimus isn't working. My 650m stays on it's highest clock speed for ever, it doesn't clock back
.
Edit: just as I posted this, the driver clocked the speeds back to it's lowest levels:thumbsup:. -
Lovin' these drivers so far, seem to have gotten an increase in Skyrim over the last 305.xx drivers. Using the laptopvideo2go version though.
-
I recently tried out the new Nvidia 306.23 drivers but ultimately rolled it back to stock. I have the sony vaio S13 with an i5-3210M and Geforce 640M LE (O/C to 850/1000). The main reason was that I was not getting the same performance as the stock driver. Moreover, games that had DirectX 11 enabled, did not run (e.g. Deus Ex: Human revolution). I ran a benchmark test in arkham city and found that I was averaging about 30 FPS. In contrast, with stock drivers I would get around 32FPS. Interestingly, after updating the PhysX component and returning to stock I am getting a better overall benchmark over stock PhysX and driver (40fps vs ~32FPS). Based on this observation, it might be the case that the updated PhysX component is a significant factor in the perceived performance improvements rather than the updated drivers alone
-
Is it just me or with the new driver my fan is constantly at a higher speed ? :|
-
So far so good for me. Stable and a good performance.
-
just reloaded these whql drivers again.
for some reason with the previous driver vantage is failing on the crash and burn test. futuremark forum suggested to manually update PhysX driver even though when loading drivers it said i had the latest which was PhysX 09.12.0604
after a search i found in fact i wasnt using the latest and PhysX 09.12.0613 was released 3 months ago in July.
vantage now runs fine so could you all check you have the latest PhysX loaded
start>control panel> nvidia control panel>system information> components tab> 4 on list should be 09.12.0613 -
-
ive done a system restore to go back to my stock driver that my computer arrived with.
multiple crashes in B3 on every multiplayer game.
crysis 2 played fine last night but of course its not as demanding as B3 -

Its really worse with my M18x. I am getting shaky and missing graphics in battlefield.
Going back to beta drivers.
