I have two scenarios for this:
1. Using default drivers from Compaq F756NR, my total video memory is 799MB. Whenever I play Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, the game would start to chop/lag after around 5 min. To resolve the choppiness, I have to alt+tab everytime to maintain the smooth framerate. This gets annoying especially during clashes.
2. Next I tried using 158.45 drivers and it reduced my video memory to 599MB. But Warcraft no longer chops/lags completely. However I experience BOSD with system memory dump files whatever then restarts. This is difficult to trace because sometimes I can finish the game without BOSD. In this case I have AMD Dual Core Optimizer installed.
In the first scenario, is there a way to avoid the chop/lag of framerates without alt+tabbing? I can settle for the default drivers as long as it's stable.
For the second scenario, is the driver causing the errors or is it the optimizer?
My 3D settings are either in application controlled or in performance but I experience BOSD in both settings so this is out of the causes.
I don't know if my video card is overheating because I don't slowdown when my video memory is only 599MB. Can this be a memory issue?
Any help would be appreciated because if I get tired of this i may be forced to downgrade to XP or do a dual boot. It's my first time using Vista and all I can say is it sucks!

Hi.
I had an 7000m running in vista with 1gb of memory, and it is really low power card, with an amd dual core processor.
I suppose you have tried changing the amount of video memory in the bios.
have a look at the link below, and try the driver i suggest 169.44.

Thanks i will try that driver. For some reason i can't change anything on the BIOS. This is the first time i am unable to change anything on the BIOS.
But for some reason the GMA 950 on my old laptop with XP runs Warcraft very well. Almost no chop in framerates. It makes me think GMA 950 is better than 7000M -
There could be the possibility that its over heating the graphics card.
Try proping up your laptop on stilts or something and see if theres much of a difference.
When you say BOSD, do you actually mean BSOD?
