Ive read all these comparisons on how the 8800M is faster against the 8700M, but does anyone know how it compares to the 7950gtx?

im thinking if i should wait till the 8800m comes out
or should i go ahead and go with dual 512 7950gtx?

and is the 8800m going to be a wallet busting upgrade?

uh, if you look around, ONE 8800 is comparable to SLi'd 7950s.

8800m gtx will give a lot more performance, but you are looking at about the same price or more (+100 or so) for one as the 7950m gtx was selling for a month or two ago. It'll be a while before you get one too. (~1-2 Months)

ive seen a few notebook companies out there that already offer it
and should i wait for it to come out?

The only problem with the 8800m is that you can't buy it now , and it might not be available before xmas .

Even so I suggest a nice envelope containting 2000$ in cash and a cutout picture of the 8800m GTX under your tree / Hanuka lamp .
