Just a quick question. I'm wondering how well the 8400 GS card handles Battle Field 2142. I recently purchased a Dell 1420 laptop with this graphics card, 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo 4MB Cache 800FSB, 2MB RAM. I was also considering the 1520 with the 8600 GT, but I figured portability and battery life would be a nice trade off when going with a 14.1" with medium quality video card compared to a 15.4" with a high quality GPU.

It should be able to play it at medium settings at 1024x768 with no AA and give you decent framerates.

I can even play it at 800x600 with everything at low, and that card is considerably better than mine, so you should be fine.

yeah 1024 x 768 with medium settings and no AA sounds right with fps mostly in the 30's and 40's i would think. You might be able to turn the AA to 2x, might.
