So I bought June and Julys Laptop magazine today, inside the june issue there was a comparison between laptops under 1500. The HP dv6500 which i just ordered got raped. But it only had the intel non dedicated graphics card in it. What can i expect for FPS with this on Farcry

Do you have the dv6500t with the Intel X3100 or the 8400M-GS? The one in your signature has the latter.

Far Cry should not pose much of a problem for the 8400M-GS, you'll be fine.

My old MR9700 ran Farcry without issue, and that's like, 3 generations old at this point.

Additionally, you have a much faster CPU then my old Dell XPS.

The 8400 will choke on modern games at high settings, but it is still leaps and bounds ahead of the GMA X3100 (which itself is about twice as fast as the GMA950 that it replaced)

Don't base it off the Intel graphics. That's like comparing a Corvette to a Ford Taurus -- they're completely different, made by different companies, and one's much faster.

The Intel is integrated. It is much worse than the nVidia. The nVidia should run Far Cry easily. Even on high settings, I'd wager.

I've heard the Quadro NVS 140M/135M can run CS:S decently as well, and that's basically the 8400GS

dont sweat it, dv2000t with a 7200go runs cs:s perfectly fine. Youll be fine with that card.
