I have narrowed my choice for a new 14 inch notebook to 2 choices, either:

The ASUS F8SV-A1 with the Nvidia 8600 GT vs the ASUS F8 Series F8SA-X2 with the ATI HD 2600.

Anybody know the specifics whether they are DDR2 or DD3?

I looked over the 8600 vs the 2600 thread and still remain in the middle with so many supporters for both cards, I'd like to know which card overall is the better card pertaining to the mentioned notebooks.

    $1350.00 for the F8SV and $1250.00 for the F8SA
Is it worth it paying an extra 100 bucks for the 8600GT?

I refuse to use ATI simply because of the poor driver support. I am not biased between Nvidia and ATI in any way, I always side with whichever has the better hardware and software combo.

In short, definitely go for Nvidia if you can!

Edit: Btotech's Asus A1 has DDR3, but I am not 100% positive that all models have that.
