I am reminded why I hate nvidia and MS.

I have a Nvidia 7600 gt. It's worked great until recently when windows had an automatic update. I always turn my computer off at night, saves electricity and prolongs the lifespan of a computer.

Almost EVERY morning for the past week that I've put my computer on in the mornings, my drivers aren't working. So i'm stuck with a crappy resolution on a 20" monitor. The installers are still on my pc, but i have to re download the drivers else they don't work. I can't re download drivers EVERY morning... Why can't they just stay?

Thanks, i really need help here!

    Thanks guys

What happens when you try to reinstall the one you already downloaded?

It installs just fine... it only asks me if i want to replace the smae files i already have. I say yes, and the installation goes by fine.

Are you sure a file isn't missing? Nvidia drivers appeared to install alright for me a couple of times. There were no error messages and Windows would boot into full 1920x1200. Then I'd find out that there weren't any graphics drivers installed despite never having received an error message. It turns out some .ax file was incorrectly named or some other file naming mistake was causing the problem. I never actually got an error message until I used the "have disk" installation message. The bundled installers never threw errors.
