i am thinking now of getting a hp dv6000t. it comes with the option of getting a nvidia geforce 7400 turbocache. 128 is dedicated, the rest is taken from system RAM. 256 total. What games will it play on med to high setting ? like bf2142, what settings will it take?

It will run BF2142 on 1024x768 with some options on medium-low, some on high. All in all, it runs quite well.

The 7600 is almost twice as powerful as the 7400. You can check it all out in the graphics card thread at the top of this forum. If you plan doing alot of gaming, or just plain want your games to look nicer, the 7600 is a good option, but the 7400 will also suffice...

ps - the 512mb won't make much of a difference because the 7600 cannot utilise that much ram.
