****This is for Windows 7 and 8.1 x64 so if you're having this problem with Windows 10 you may have to wait for a Windows 10 version or if you really want to test this driver set you will have to mod the driver.****

I don't like Sore Eyes. Does he work at Nvidia or not? He slings mud at affected users and are giving nvidia forums a bad name.

Because of his references that drivers are working fine and users don't know how to use a driver makes my blood evaporate. We don't complain w/o any reason. I don't check their forums anymore since every good info is masked as bad or stupid by Sore Eyes! I believed his words when I got my first nvidia GPU after I ditched AMD Radeon and agreed I didn't know much about nvidia and blamed myself for SW issues and lived with it and then driver update worsened my FPS and system responsiveness. Now, whatever the issue may it be and if older driver gave good performance and newer did worse I simply rollback to old drivers.
After 3 years, Nvidia won't even bother to fix their Optimus Prime Garbage stuttering. Luckily, Intel driver fixed it.
I don't believe a word from Sora saying BSOD Dump files are missing from original location of C:\Windows\miniDumps\

He must be on Nvidia's payroll or something. Someone that much of a troll or that fanatically loyal must be given free cards from Nvidia or something. He's literally a power hungry jerk. Insulting anyone he doesn't agree with.

@Papusan at guru3d Forums, they are saying that 417.75 Hotfix driver is the best so far as it doesn't has the TDR issues. Is that right?

ive seen several reports of users stating that 417.71 is the best, so its not farfetched to assume that 417.75 as its hotfix followup could be the "golden driver" currently :)

well the 417.75 only includes a hotfix for screen flickering when running a GSync monitor alongside another HDMI monitor on the same GPU:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/nvidia-geforce-driver-417-75-hotfix.827130/

so if that doesnt apply to your usage case, either one is fine i guess :)

That's the reason I turn a blind eye to their forums and their feedback loop!
He goes on to say, we don't know how to use a computer if the driver didn't have any issues for him when the workloads are completely different which is bullcrap IMO. I think (s)he is their QA Lead.

If you've time try enabling SILK smoothness(in nvidia inspector) values of 1 or 2 to see if they have fixed any stuttering or low FPS issues.

Value of 1 or 2 will reduce stuttering and input lag w/o VSYNC ON.

You got it backward. SILK Smoothness reduces stutter while increasing input lag.

This driver has been crashing on me in Overwatch, always around 2 min in game. Had to revert back to 417.71.
