    @Pepillo dam, nice numbers.

    Edit:

Just ran my new Profile 5 with PWR @ 130% with Ram offset of +466 with custom voltage curve and got this first run.

    Prof5NoFanBoost.png

So its a good driver thus far.

I can't update to 18362.53 from 19362.30? Do you have a working MS Store app after installing Nvidia 430.39 standard driver? MS Store won't open no matter what! I had to revert to older backup to get MS Store working.

@j95 does this mean your modded drivers allow for continued support of older mobile GPUs, like Kepler? I've been looking into picking up an older Razer Blade. Models with the GTX 870M are notably cheaper than the 970 and higher but obviously NVIDIA just recently discontinued official support for those cards. If I can use your drivers instead, that could very well sway me to make a purchase.

    No issues with DCH here...
Yep. Kepler are supported, incl. DCH support.
Both driver versions are hybrid anyway, it makes no sense to mod both versions.

    Win10 driver mods.
    Standard: min. 1709
    DCH: min. 1803

Obs.there's no way to fully remove telemetry using third party tools, folders etc... it requires manual editing instead.

Messing with quality parameters within the INF file isn't a good idea if you're benching, learn how to use Profile Inspector...

I tried stock Win 10 VM and .53 CU was applied correctly. Maybe I've to opt out of insiders release and see if it fixes the issues.

@j95 I tried installing the latest driver using the standard installer for my 970m with your mod as you have said DCH and standard works the same anyways as it is hybrid. I get an error message saying it failed installation. I did try searching for a DCH driver for my 970m and it seems it doesn't support it as it says no results found. Any idea how can I make this work?

It doesn't work the same way, Standard modded INFs (Downloads: Sandard/Legacy) with Standard driver package.

    - Run DDU.

    - Disable driver signature enforcement: Hold down the Shift key while you click the “Restart” option -> Select “Troubleshoot” -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> select “Disable driver signature enforcement” option.

    - Extract driver package (Standard 430.39) using 7-ZIP >> Delete folders.

    - Copy ‘SETUP.CFG’ to the extracted driver folder.

    - DISPLAY.DRIVER folder -> Copy all INFs -> Run setup.exe -> custom -> clean install option -> “Installation Successful” -> reboot.
Uninstall both Intel and nVidia graphics drivers before upgrading windows.

Right. This are the things that I did.
    1st attempt:
    - Downloaded the driver for 970m for notebook standard as there is no DCH version in nvidia download page.
    - Used this mod = NV_DISPI.INF_V430.39_WIN10_DCH_OPTIMUS_MSHYBRID_AW_ASUS_CLEVO_MSI.ZIP as I have optimus alienware laptop.
    Outcome was installation failed.
    2nd attempt:
    - Downloaded the driver that you gave a link which was the Standard 430.39 Desktop version.
    - Used the same mod which was for optimus = NV_DISPI.INF_V430.39_WIN10_DCH_OPTIMUS_MSHYBRID_AW_ASUS_CLEVO_MSI.ZIP
    Outcome was intallation failed.
    3rd attempt:
    - Used the Standard 430.39 Desktop version which you gave a link.
    - This time used this mod NV_DISPI.INF_V430.39_WIN10_STANDARD_PEG_DEDICATED_AW_ASUS_CLEVO_MSI.ZIP even though it doesn't say optimus.
    Outcome was INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL.

Thanks for the help and sharing your work.
I wanted to ask why the optimus mod did not work for my optimus laptop?
Also my cousin has a alienware 15 r3 with a 1060 GPU. Do you have a mod for his laptop? On your page it doesn't say there for 1060 GPU support.

Both drivers being hybrid doesn't mean that you can mix INF versions, only matching versions.

Just added Optimus/MSHybrid Standard option INFs, so now you can use right click for Optimus.

    nv_dispi.inf_v430.39_Win10_Standard_Optimus_MSHybrid_AW_ASUS_CLEVO_MSI.zip

Yeah. 1060 included. Supported GPUs listed here

    Code:
    NVIDIA_DEV.1C20 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
    NVIDIA_DEV.1C60 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
    NVIDIA_DEV.1C02 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB"
    NVIDIA_DEV.1C03 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB"

    :(
I suspect Optimus laptops are being blocked, 65% of the people who failed to update to .53 are having Optimus.
I'll give your method a go. In fact, I'm so stupid that I should have tried that when I uninstalled both of them yesterday.

    As always... :)

XtremeG released it with modded drivers [Performance + Tweaks] as always :)

    For Laptops:-
    https://www.reddit.com/r/XtremeG/comments/bgvov6/xg_43039_mobile_win10_x64/
    For Desktop:-
    https://www.reddit.com/r/XtremeG/comments/bgvp7j/xg_43039_desktop_win10_x64/

Sooner or later I will release XG drivers [Lite & Debloated + Physx] today or tomorrow and will only be posted here... ;)
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/modded-nvidia-drivers-for-windows.826322/

    Enjoy ;)

Sorry for being late... it was a long week for me :D

Ok here is what they do on every driver :) I got the list from there dead website http://tweakforce.com by using http://web.archive.org/ ;)
XG drivers are tweaked to improve image quality and stability while performance may increase or decrease slightly depending on your system specs. A few XG registry tweaks include mods to the following:

    Paletted Textures In Video Memory
    Render Quality Flags
    Target Flush Count
    Texture Clamp Behavior
    Texture LOD Bias
    Use Cached PCI Mappings
    Texture Memory Space
    Downloaded Memory Space
    Texture Precache
    UMA Fast Frame Buffering
    Main 3D rendering
    Triple Buffering
Any more information you want to know.. ask them.. :)
Here's what I observed comparing between official ones vs XG...
    -Less microstutters
-Higher OC Potential (Gives me additional 50 ~ 90 MHz more OC) with the same overvolt (I use +75mv) going higher voltage gives me black screen
-Higher FPS [Not significant-(YMMV)] (due to less stuttering I guess you feel that you are playing at higher frame rate :D)
-Less latency per a frame (Means smoothie gameplay) ;)

Nvidia Geforce 430.39 nvdisplay.container.exe generates high CPU utilization (workaround) Good Morning April 27, 2019
The last Nvidia Game Ready driver 430.39 causes high CPU usage for some of them after installing the driver and restarting it. Or even after the PC was woken up from the power-saving mode. Responsible for this is the nvdisplay.container.exe....

The "DisplayDriverRAS" folder is new since the driver and includes more telemetry[IMG], which is retrieved from the nvdisplay.container.exe process. Therefore, it is necessary to terminate the said process with administrator rights, then then delete the folders and the problem should be resolved.

    More info... https://github.com/CHEF-KOCH/nVidia-modded-Inf/releases/tag/430.39

I am on this driver but do not have this folder nor file in the pointed out areas.

How it does show in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_76caa6bef01ea5c4\Display.NvContainer\plugins , (76caa6bef01ea5c4 might be different for some of you)

People using @j95 driver mods should not be affected because you delete all the useless garbage prior to installing the drivers.

Maybe on his DCH mod. But I hate DCH/UWP in all form and shape and had to remove it from the installed driver (this on already cleaned out folders before install). This junk includes more telemetry and we must probably remove it for each new coming driver. More and more cancer bro FOX. When will it end? o_O I become sick of it!

I think Nvcontainer still runs otherwise nvcp won't be functional. Only the telemetry and other spyware are obliterated by j95. You can't fix broken drivers, atleast j95 tries his best but everything depends on Ngreediaaaa.

I lost MS store app completely after MS store updated itself to latest version now, it won't open at all! Good for me I installed Intel CC before it was borked. My Win 10 Home has become LSTC edition w/o Store. Yipee!!!

Always turn off network when you fiddle with updates/changes. Double check everything before you go on internet. Maybe it’s time to learn and add in new routines. You can’t keep on like this bruh.

Yeah I never leave Windows to do updating, this time I forgot to put it on Airplane mode. One of those bad times, luckily even WU failed to apply patches and I was saved.

I also do not use DCH feces. I hate it as well and refuse to accept this filth... UWP is poo-poo-cah-cah garbage. Everything the Redmond Retards do now is rubbish. They are bereft of intelligence and lack any capacity for producing excellence. I hold all that they stand for as a company in contempt and their incompetence is stupefying.

I use his older approach on the non-DCH drivers and delete all of the folders full of bloat, then tweak the setup.cfg file so it doesn't block me from installing the modded package.

I don't actually need NVCP. I save my profile with NVIDIA Inspector, use that to apply it and stop/disable the NVIDIA Container services. No point in having any of that bloat running since I never use G-Stink for anything and always use the same NVCP settings for everything. They never change. I have no reason to ever change the settings once my preferences are applied.

That is not nearly enough when it comes to debloating...as I said before, deleting files/folders or using third party tools won't suffice, further editing is required.

But, not everything can be adjusted through nvi inspector esp. displays from HDMI or DP. You need NVCP to control them.
UWD is good for people who don't know what drivers are! But it kills customization since its generic in nature.

I can start the service if I need to temporarily make such a change. But, that's the thing. I have no reason to change that stuff. I use the same monitor at all times and I have no reason to switch between outputs.

And, since I'm not really doing any benching any more, I am finding little need for Windows most of the time. AFAIK, the Linux drivers are not loaded with the same feces that Windows GeFarts drivers are loaded with.

I also discovered GUI tools to save and write EDID in Linux without having to use a CLI. Wonder if that would be useful for any of Brother @Prema's BIOS mods.

    You can do that.
Don't you think Linux's Dark mode just works spot-on and looks beautiful, sleek and much modern?
I like to use Linux much more than Win 10.

Yes, it's great looking. I haven't found a way to make all of the windows transparent like the panel, menu and terminal yet. That would look even better. I also like using it more than Windows 10. The more I use Linux and the more I learn to use it, the more I hate Windows 10. I like it almost as much as Windows 7 now.

But, I really HATE Thunderbird email client. I discovered Geary for email and find it a LOT MORE aesthetically tolerable. It has somewhat less configurable functionality, but at least it's not tacky-looking like Thunderbird.

Those transparency effects are performance hogs.
I use Thunderbird because its minimalistic and works on cross platforms.

It's easy enough to turn stuff off if you need more performance to complete a certain task. I've got more than enough horsepower to do anything and everything, and benching on Linux is pointless.

Thunderbird has lots of features, but I just can't stand looking at it. It makes me angry for some reason. Don't ask me why, I don't know... it just does. It always has, going all the way back to when it was first released many years ago. Something about the UI is disgusting to me, like Edge, Opera and Vivaldi browsers, and to a somewhat lesser extent, Firefox. When you get pissed off just looking at it, then it's hard to care how well it works.

I just took a look at Deepin last night. I know a lot of people are scared of it due to the team being Chinese, but the window manager is a work of art. I really like it.

You can use the Deepin DE on other distros, I just decided to try out the whole distro. What I really love about it so far is I do need some scaling for my panel, native is just a tad too small. Deepin's hidpi scaling is the best I've seen so far in Linux. Chrome and Firefox still look amazing, unlike the GNOME scaling hack or KDE's horrendous scaling.

There is a large amount of Asian centric apps in the Deepin Store, as well as mostly Chinese reviews and commenters. But the distro is really well done. The one thing I don't like is there are a lot of packages in there that are woefully out of date. Adding your own repos to apt is probably a good idea. I might try Arch+Deepin sometime soon to see how that goes.

I've been doing a lot of distro hopping lately.

Just a quick update, apparently Arch + Deepin isn't in a great state right now, but it looks like they are geting close to hopefully coming up with a solution. https://github.com/linuxdeepin/developer-center/issues/1093

I'll stop commenting on it as this is supposed to be an nVidia driver revision thread. :)

Here (2080) the 430.xx driver we have seen till today are very stable for gaming but not good for overclocking. Maybe good for user to hold higher clocks, but power draw and scores are lower at same clocks compared to 425.xx based ones.

Nvidia should hire you for fixing there mess....

    https://www.techradar.com/amp/news/nvidias-new-geforce-drivers-are-playing-havoc-with-some-cpus

"Nvidia’s latest graphics drivers made plenty of introductions – most notably support for GeForce GTX 16-Series laptops (and the new GTX 1650 desktop card) – but it seems that version 430.39 has also brought with it a rather nasty bug which spikes processor usage under Windows.

A number of users have reported seeing their CPU usage bump up by around 10% to 20%, even when the PC is idling and no game (or indeed anything else) is running."

    Just saying....
