Off i go to mod the drivers for my laptop to test these out!

    Update!

Modded, installed and benched. Not a bad driver. No major FPS uplift in the games and benchmarking however the stutters have gone!

What a Joke. New and shiny who needed 1.5 months works and Nvidia wasn't even able to add in support for WDDM 2.7, which is shipping with May 2020 Update. Oh well, Intel isn't much better with their drivers but at least they was able to add it in for their iGPU, LOOL

Almost as the two huge sleeping partners is in divorce and can't even play with each other in the same garden. Yeah, its a Joke.

Lovely.... 6 weeks to wait on this

Let's see how much this driver will destroy for the users. And be prepered for more works if you have Alienware's gaming flagship and installed May 2020 Update :D Please post bench results.

As a curiosity... AMD as well launced graphics drivers for Windows 10 2004 Update Today. Nasty reading...

Known problems. Yeah, 10 bugs for Win 10:D

    1. Enhanced Sync can result in a black screen if it is enabled on some games and system configurations. All users who may experience problems with the Enhanced Sync feature enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
    2. Using the Edge web browser to play video content with a multi-screen system configuration can cause the system to hang or crash after prolonged use.
    3. Performance Metrics Overlay and Radeon WattMan incorrectly report higher than expected idle clock speeds on Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products. This false report does not affect performance and power consumption.
    4. Changing the slider for HDMI scaling can result in the FPS being locked at 30.
    5. Some games may occasionally stutter while playing on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products.
    6. Graphics products from the Radeon RX Vega series can cause a system crash or TDR if several task changes are carried out with Alt + Tab.
    7. If the HDR function is activated, there may be interruptions on the desktop or in the game.
    8. Direct ML media filters are currently not available in the Radeon Software Media Gallery for video or image content.
    9. Some users may still experience black screen issues or system issues during extended seasons. AMD will continue to closely monitor and investigate reports of these issues.
    10. Some laptops may experience BSOD when installing Radeon ™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition over an existing OEM graphics driver. To work around this problem, first uninstall the OEM graphics driver using Programs and Features in Control Panel. Then install the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition package and select Factory Reset during setup.

I think Windows 10 May 2020 update also has problems in itself (big thread on Reddit) but also my bro finished his new 10th gen desktop build, installed 1909 no problem but when he reformatted and used a 2004 fresh image (released today) it gave more problems with games and monitoring apps not working.

Yeah, I expect it’s more bugs than the few already mentioned http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/windows-10-2004-20h1-20h2.830339/page-22#post-11018010

And more will be broken once they start push out patches to fix it :D

I'll delete the downloaded driver. I found 440+ has telemetry modules built in to nvidia driver and it runs in background downloading newer Optimus Profiles in dat file format.

Hi all, Just want to share a bad experience with this driver. It causes freezing in black screen when my laptop auto turns display off after not using it for a few minutes. Rolled back to older driver solved problem.

I always found that the latest driver from the Manufacturer (ie. Dell/MSI) gives better performance.

If your laptop is not getting driver updates, say you have an MSI GT75, you could easily look for drivers for the GT76 10th Gen perhaps, then use that nVIDIA Driver provided by MSI, you'd get the best results. Same goes for Dell, right now I stole most the drivers from the new Alienware M17 R3/M15 R3 and they work perfectly fine.

Since the manufacturer drivers work great AND I don't want to deal with the headache of disable Driver Enforcement whatever you call it since I get a watermark on the desktop, I didn't try them nor do I have a need to.

I havent tried these on my laptop but its working fine on my desktop so far, been only playing FFXV though but that thing eats so much resources at maxed out settings its not even funny lol almost using 8GB of video RAM and using 16GB+ of system RAM when you let it, my previous go to drivers was probably 442.74. I'm also on Windows 1909 as 2004 has been giving people issues. Theres a new set coming out soon so hopefully that irons out some stuff. :D

Not sure how much longer we may see OEMs providing their own drivers and updates if this nugget from the Razer support website is a harbinger of things to come.

This might actually be a good thing if OEMs can just publish driver updates to Windows Update kind of like how game devs can publish game patches through Steam. It would mean I don't have to run bespoke tools to get new drivers or go on my multiple time a week round through a bunch of websites looking to see if any patches or new drivers/firmware are available.
