    Nvidia GeForce Driver 452.22 Hotfix

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 452.22 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 452.06.
The hotfix addresses the following issues:
    • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may intermittently see a drop in frame rate when ray tracing is enabled
    • [Pascal] Marvel's Avengers may crash if alt-tabbing while the game is running
    • [Notebook] Display is not detected when connected to Thunderbolt 3 port on HP Spectre x360 - 15t-df100 Notebook
    • Minecraft Java Edition may crash when launched with XSplit Broadcaster running in the background

I see the fix for the display not detected on the specific HP laptop, but I wonder if it also applies to other models as I'm having an issue where my external monitor won't wake from sleep when connected to my laptop. This was an issue with an HP Omen running an RTX 2060 and connected via a mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable and my current Lenovo Legion 5 when connected from a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. My desktop will wake the monitor fine, and HDMI works on the laptop, but my monitor is 4K/120, which only works via DP.

Do you know if this driver fix the issue where the refresh rate goes from 144 Hz to 60 Hz? By the way capping the refresh rate at 143 Hz fixes the issue.. but come on

Not sure, I usually just set Max Frame Rate on and set 3 lower than maximum monitor frequency for gsync purposes so its not disengaging and engaging possibly adding latency or lag. Example 1440p/165Hz set to 162FPS. I've known issues with alt + tabbing fixing 3d mode issues but not refresh rate going down.

Indeed, and it does work. No more issues when connected to my external monitor via USB-C to DisplayPort.

I've had the same issue since forever and nobody could help me. I think its only present on Pascal GPUs. But I believe NVIDIA is still working on this as I remember seeing this listed as a known issue.
One thing to note is that I don't remember having this issue on "legacy" normal drivers. It started happening as soon as I switched to DCH.

Well I'm not always up-to-date with the NVIDIA drivers, unless I need to update because a new game. In this case I got Death Stranding so updated to the optimized drivers for this game and noticed that after a while at random moments (it could be playing games or web browsing) the refresh rate goes from 144 Hz to 60 Hz. And not a smooth 60 Hz yet a noticeable stuttering 60 Hz. Before that I had an old driver from January I think that didn't have this issue.

I saw someone on NVIDIA geforce forum suggesting to cap the refresh rate of the screen for this issue and it worked for me. Capping the refresh rate on a customized screen configuration to anything smaller than 144 Hz will "solve" the issue.

This issue happens only on laptops with screen with high refresh rate and not in desktops.
