GeForce Hotfix display driver version 461.81 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 461.72.

The hotfix addresses the following issues:
    • [Fortnite] Shader cache optimizations to reduce intermittent stutter on some PC configurations [3244272]
    • [GeForce GTX 1660 Super]: Random flickering may appear across the top of the monitor on some PC configurations. [3184254]
    • [Vulkan] Red Dead Redemption 2 may display pixelated black dots [3266614]
    • Some desktop applications may stutter when moving around the window on some PC configurations [3252200]
    • Enabling NVIDIA Surround with 4K HDMI 2.1 TVs may fail [3184849]
    • [Rocket League] Matches may take longer to load [3244324]
    • [Detroit: Become Human] Game may crash when launched with Image Sharpening enabled [200667092]

GUESS they haven't fixed the 'intermittent stutter' - which wasn't intermittent for me. Load into the fortnite lobby before starting a match, and watch framerate drop to 1/3 FPS on a I9-8950HK + RTX 2080. When the map loaded and people jumped off the bus, same issue - it's like it was loading textures for the first time.

I'll stick with my November driver set from Dell/AW.

Reverted back to ancient driver from MSFT for 980M. Tried almost all drivers from nvidia, Dell, modded, no bloatware drivers using nvcleaninstall and after numerous attempts to fix the strange micro-freezes and fps spikes or sub 10 FPS sudden drop even in medium or high settings at FHD in nearly dx9, dx11 and dx12.
With older driver I'm not seeing micro-freezes anymore and FPS is consistent and clocks are steady.
