Will the Nvidia GeForce Go 7700 w/ 512MB in the A8Js handle some CAD work? I know the IBM T60P had the graphics card that is more for CAD work, but will this handle some?

Oh yes, it will undoubtedly do CAD work. Make sure to choose 2GB of RAM as well to go along.

Yes, as gautam3 has said, it is more than powerful to handle some CAD work. And yes, you must go for quite a bit of RAM, otherwise it will never show its power.

That's the upgrade to 2 GB of RAM they were talking about.

ya i bought the ocz 5400. for my a8js its a major convenience but not necessary right at the initial purchase.

I have the opinion you are going to want to buy it within a month like I did but its not an emergency. All its going to do is save you time its not going to expand your computers abilities.

A 7200 rpm hd would also save you a lot of time.
