    I haven't seen any DPC issues yet on the latest driver, I think I'll just hang tight and wait for the next proper release.

    @Papusan @Mr. Fox

    I know sometimes companies release a buggy program or driver and they may release a quick fix. Fine. But how come nVIDIA has been releasing a driver followed by a Hotfix driver for the past 4 years?? This is pathetic and shows that they have no quality control.

    I guess it's easy to get away with these jokes when you have no competition.

    They're probably just sadistic people that get their jollies watching the gamerkids work up a lather jumping from one driver to the next based on a silly notion that a new one is going to somehow magically yield a meaningful performance boost over the last new one.

    It is really complicated, but here are the steps. Be sure to write them down.
    1. If your system is working well and has no issues, stop here. If not, move to step 2.
    2. Find a good driver that works well and is stable.
    3. Use that driver.
    4. Stop looking for new drivers.

    That's a good tactic aside from the game optimizations and security fixes.

    The cure is often worse than the disease. Especially so when the cure is primarily designed to be leveraged as a lame excuse for a cash grab.

    I will just keep using an older driver, as I have already been doing. It doesn't matter. I can use the cancer trash OS if a game is important enough (not that I can imagine one that is) to force me into it. I do not see myself embracing AMD at this point. They are getting better and making more progress than they have for more than a decade, but they are still inferior. The reliability and durability of their products are not proven and that was a serious issue for them for many years. I'm not convinced that they are not still fragile and prone to failure. Time will tell. Their incapacity for overclocking is also pretty damning.

    Critical security updates will be available on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 through September 2024. And game optimizations haven't made massive wonders as you think on todays hardware (I mean yesterdays tech). New coming games yeah, but never drivers suck for benching after points. And who know what the future will be with modding of driveres for Win 7. Many good coders out there. You can even run XP on latest gen harware as 11th gen Intel processors with some work.

    Eh? Not for everyday consumers. Security updates ended without paying for extended support over a year ago. The only ones getting any support into 2024 are embedded and point of sale.

    I talk about critical security updates from Nvidia. Those are for Win 7, 8 and 8.1

    And the paid extended updates for Win 7 is out also for everyone if you know how.
