I know WEI isn't exactly the most reliable test for performance, but i am curious as to the score of my N50vn's 9650GT.

Graphics: Desktop Performance for Windows Aero: = 5.0
Gaming Graphics: 3D Business and Gaming Graphics = 5.3

Is it me or is the Aero score quite slow? As a comparison i have an AMD x2 3800 Desktop with Nvidia 6800GS, and it scores:

Graphics: Desktop Performance for Windows Aero: = 5.9
Gaming Graphics: 3D Business and Gaming Graphics = 5.4

I have also seen various Ati laptop videocards (3650) score 5.9 for Aero, but less than mine for gaming 5.3. So what are other Nvidia 8xxx and 9xxx laptop users scoring for their Aero score.

You said it your self  .. don't bother with WEI. Its just a random number generator between 1 to 5.9 :p

Use a real benchmark like 3D Mark or a game demo to test your card.

Enough said there. Do not bother with WEI no matter how curious you are.

Use a proper benchmarking tool like 3Dmark.

If it helps you feel any better, you can edit your WEI scores and make them 9.9

Obviously I know it's not accurate, but does anyone know what tests are conducted for the Aero phase of the WEI tests?

Does it even matter? MS had an article on it, some time ago, but their methods are so stupid it isn't worth looking it up again.

    Try Google.

Aero's "test" probably just amounts to a check for the WDDM driver that is required for it to display.

Thanks, I had already tried a google search, but no luck.... It's okay i realize now NBR is not the place to ask tech based questions. :)
