    Hi, I am new to notebook video cards so I would like to know if this card is okay.

    I was looking at the Dell Latitude D620. It looks pretty good. So I am just wondering about the video card.

    Intel® Core™ Duo T2400 (1.83GHz) 667Mhz Dual Core
    Genuine Windows® XP Professional, SP2, with media, English
    14.1 inch Wide Screen WXGA+ LCD Panel
    1.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 1 DIMM --> 1 DIMM means it's 1x1024 right? So I can upgrade it to 2 gig
    80GB Hard Drive, 9.5MM, 7200RPM
    Touchpad with UPEK® Fingerprint Reader
    24X CD-RW/DVD w/ Cyberlink PowerDVD™
    256MB NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 110M TurboCache™
    9 Cell Primary Battery
    Dell Wireless® 350 Bluetooth Module
    Dell Wireless™ 1490 802.11a/b/g Dual Band WLAN MINI Card

    I believe that it is roughly equiv to the 7400. It is a good card, but better for cad and rendering than games. It will still game alright, but there may be some driver issues. As far as your memory question, yes it is 1x1GB so you can upgrade without losing anything. Also you may want to consider the C2D as it will be more future proof. Other than that, looks like a sweet lappy.

    I have one, and the video card can run Counter Strike Source with no lag as far as i can see. I like the D620, good choice :)

    Source is not a really demanding game, but as long as you are not looking to play the latest and greatest on max settings, you should have no problems.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

    I am not that much into gaming anymore anyway, but I would like to be able to play some CS from time to time :p

    C2D or Core 2 Duo. This is Intel's first 64 bit chip for the laptop. All benchmarks report about a 10-20% performance increase, depending who you ask. It is pretty much the same as the Core Duo except for the inclusion of 64 bit instructions in C2D. I'm looking at a D820 myself with the NVS120M and I'm probably going to go with the C2D T7200 4mb Cache/667FSB. Just looking for the best price point before I bite the bullet.

    Basically every Dell Laptop Home and Small Business offer the Core 2 Duo. The only difference is the configuration offerings. Most Home laptops come with either the atix1400,x1600 or nvidia7600,7900. The business laptops come with the nvidia quadro, unless you get an inspiron. The reason why i'm leaning towards the D820 is because it is mainly a business laptop and that is what I will be using it for. Only really light gaming. And it of course comes with a 3 year mail in warranty. And the pricing for the options are a little more manageable then the outragish prices under the other machine configurations.
