sorry to say still no 485 cover
-
Curse you Nvidia
Still no GTX485M on the list. Did they entirely forget the existance of that card?
-
Just to let our customers know we are finishing validation on these drivers on our end, and will be publishing these drivers for our customers in the next couple of days.
These drivers really help with some flash issues and optimus.
Also just generally improve performance all around for everyone. -
my thoughts exactly
looks like they are more interested in the 5xx series. -
-
Installed it >:3
Now to see how much of a difference it has in performance :3
-Runs off to Dragon Age 2- -
-
wow! thanks for posting that. i know a few people that will wet themselves when they hear this news. +1 repety rep.
-
feedback message from the clevo thread:
-
It's about time, NVIDIA.
-
Yeah forgot to mention that earlier
Seeing a nice 3-7 fps increase in shogun 2, dragon age 2 and dead space 2 :3 -
also installed just fine for me as well
-
the clean install option in the nvidia install is like unistall and use driver sweaper or driver sweaper is better?
-
^ Go to the safe side and use Driversweeper

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Yeah when you use the nvidia scanner to find the latest driver, it recommends this one. Cheers for us 485m users !
-
Yep I also got an email from an Nvidia rep I created a ticket a while back. These are the official 485m drivers. About time!
-

Getting slightly better 3Dmark 11 scores at lower clocks w/ this driver
On 270.51 @ 730/1740/1460 I got 3541
On 270.61 @ 723/1730/1445 I got 3544
Although the card isn't able to make runs at as high of clocks as the previous drivers.. -
what does the "verde", in the name, indicate? how are some of u guys liking these drivers? i would love something that stops crashing ever so often. everytime my driver crashes, i gotta go back and uninstall, and install, the current driver i'm using.
-
Or you could try Disable -> Enable, in Device Manager.
-
about time!
-
have anyone tried these on a low 9200m gs card lol ??
-
I wish Nvidia released drivers as often as Baka changed her hair
I will give this one a try on my laptop using the hassle free upgrade feature. Hopefully it will install fine. -
-
Edit: By the way, those Drivers installed fine on my laptop with the GTX 485M. I will keep an eye out for any perforance differences. -

"ITS ABOUT TIME!" Quoting from Starcraft
-
Hmmm gonna give these a go during break in class tonight...
-
Now now, people can be anyone they want in the forums. Anyways looks like nvidia got off their backsides. Heard great things for the 485m with this driver. People been reporting better benches at lower clocks
-
What are these "verde" drivers anyways? What's the difference between these and regular driver updates?
-
no idea but they work so we dont care
-
OEM drivers might include some customizations, which are not present in the Verde drivers. -
^^10 char. i knew it was something like that
-
The GTX 485m is now listed on the official Nvidia Drivers page under the product selection menu. The GTX 485M was not on that site when I looked the other day.
-
Looks like OpenCL is still broken in 270 series....You guys can check with gpu-z too.
-
yup. wasnt there when they posted the drivers on their site.
must have been uproar from users that they changed it quick. -
I checked over the inf's included with this driver and it in fact supports several current Clevo vendor branded cards, I'll be mothballing my topic since it's not needed for the foreseeable future.
Clevo specific cards supported by this release:
Code:DEV_061D&SUBSYS_51021558 "NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M" DEV_0DF4&SUBSYS_51401558 "NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M" DEV_0DD1&SUBSYS_51021558 "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M" DEV_0E31&SUBSYS_51021558 "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 485M"
-
seems to run fine on my vaio Z12 (intel HD disabled) with starcraft II
-
M$ also released new DirectX update. You can download it from here.
-
^Thanks for the DirectX update
-
you made the wait much bearable for most of us. -
Awesome! thanks for this, with the new Internet explorer 9 and Fireforx 4 this driver version works wonders, and that's not even mentioning my gaming performance and the boost this gives to the framerates. Silky smooth loving it. Nvidia FTW baby!!!
-

Nvidia is claiming performance improvements of up to 19% in SLI systems and 13% in single-card systems, and improvements of up to 367% in 3D Vision Surround games.
I wonder if it can really happen. -
it listed Rift as one of the "improved games" so i'll definitely have to give these drivers a try.
-
I think it lists Rift as "Added 3D vision game profile"
-
it's all good though. alot of us 400-series and 500-series guys have been waiting for a good update, so hopefully this driver lives up to it. -
Crysis 2 is still flickering on SLi.
