301.42 introduced FPS hiccups and stutters into my games that ordinarily ran fine, searching the web not too many were fond of the 301 series, but then again you can search the web for any series and disgruntled gamers.

Tonight, I decided to dedicate the evening to the ever-fun task of playing Driver Rollback Lottery, when after selecting my model and system, I was greeted with the friendly old 296.10.

If you have 301 series and haven't been happy with your games' performance, go back and "update" to 296.10!

I'm pretty sure 301.42 and later 301 series were WHQL as well:

If you check the page you linked or any of the driver download pages, almost the entire 301 series has been scrubbed from the results. Not just a week ago, Nvidia was pushing 301.42 as the latest drivers, and now it's like they never existed.

301.24 and 301.42 were the only 3xx cards released and both were BETA drivers. 301.42 were removed as there were some bad reports as far as i know.
it then jumped to 304 beta drivers.

just wish they would hurry up with a 680 supported driver that actually works :)

I've tried a few of the 3xx, the 296.01 that came with the laptop work best.
