    Nvidia driver not playing nice with Intel gpu

    I have got a compal laptop I just built up with core i5 2520 and 540 m. Problem is no matter what driver I try optimus is not kicking in. Nvidia driver refuses to install Intel hd drivers. I'm on windows7. Windows8 was able to recognize the Intel gpu with ms wddm driver buy when I loaded nvidia drivers Intel gpu was not shown any more. I could not select integrated Intel gpu in global settings.

    Any ideas on how to tackle this. Trying to install Intel HD drivers give me an error saying I don't meet the requirements. Any help is appreciated

    Have you tried the drivers nvidia just released yesterday?

    Lol yes I tried that. Still no go. Funny thing is that even the drier that came with it couldn't recognize the Intel gpu but windows8 with Microsoft driver could. Bit that was until I internalized nvidia

    Did you make sure to install Intel driver before installing NVIDIA driver?
