So somehow I managed to delete my nvidia drivers for my nvidia 8600. I went to the nvidia site and when I tried to install the driver it told me that it could not find any appropriate hardware! Im currently running on Windows XP 2002 SP2 and need to find the driver. Please help. :(

Use Laptopvideo2go drivers. There are instructions in the sticky and on Lv2g sites on how to install the drivers with the modded .INF.

Search around for which drivers people recommend for the 8600m GT.

I appreciate your push in the right direction. I'm having one problem though, when I extract the downloaded folder it moves a ton of separate files to my desktop, not a single folder. How am I supposed to get it all in one place in order to add the .INF file to it.

just create a new folder...in the address bar where is says : c:/users and settings....bla bla /something/desktop after desktop add "/' and a name for the folder...
like: /desktop/new/ and extract everything there.
Or simply create a new folder on your desktop and extract everything there...
