I have spent a lot of hours and days trying to fix that issue a lot of people have when trying to update their Nvidia driver. I think I've read most discussions on the net about it. But none of the solutions worked for me. The install program kept saying "The system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation later" (damn I HATE this message!)

So, what I did to fix that issue is simply getting the new Nvidia drivers from Guru3d instead of laptopvideo2go. I know it's simple but it worked (I might have shed a tear when it happenned)

You still have to modify the INF file (which I did my-self) which will fix the "setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible....blablabla" issue

I'm not saying the laptopvideo2go's drivers don't work or that this is THE solution, I'm just saying it worked for me and that it could work for others.

BTW, I have Windows XP SP2 (bootcamp) and I got the new 174.74 driver which gives me a quite nice improvement in Crysis (just running the demo).

Let me know if this solves your problem

You have to have modded inf, or do this yourself.

I don't know, but before I knew it I did the same thing that sellic did, but instead of reformatting I just used the System Restore.

    And it worked great.

I've been using LV2G's drivers/modded infs for years (since I had a notebook with a GF4 440) and have never had any trouble.

Yeah that is pretty odd. In most of the latest releases on LV2G's website have a folder in them that is called "original infs". Which has a inf to support almost all Nvidia cards out there. I used to just use the "Modified inf", but found using one of the original ones was more compatible.
