I've heard it (can) screw up your hardware. True? Not true?
RivaTuner doesn't appear to do jack diddly squat for my performance on my Gateway P6831FX (it doesn't even report the correct clock speeds).
I would like to use nTune 6.02, but an earlier version I used crashed my games semi-often, and I've heard it's just dangerous on laptops.
All that for this question; is nTune legit, or should I not touch it with even a 10 foot pole?

nTune can be used to overclock your CPU and GPU; so yes, if you make a mistake in the settings, you could kill your hardware. However, overclocking burn-outs are always the user's fault, never the software.
