I've been eying heavily the OCZ NIA (Neural Impulse Actuator) for quite some time now. For those who have not head of the NIA, it is a small headband that picks up brainwaves. It recognizes your want to move forward, back, up down left right, fire, jump, etc, and maps your brainwaves to a key or joystick movement.

I'm wondering if anybody here has ever used it? I have not purchased yet due to no driver support for x64 yet. Anybody had the chance to control your computer by thought?

Yeah, but I guess it works with the face muscles, search for the nia in youtube and you will see. Even if it is with muscles is awesome.

Muscles are part of it. It doesn't recognize movement, but the impulses your brain send out to perform a certain operation. Muscles are one of three brain impulses it recognizes.

Well the techs I spoke to claim that after training it about 20 minutes, it is very responsive and does what you tell it about 90% of the time. With an hour of training with it, it does what you tell it about 99% of the time. Thats about as good as the occasional fat fingering of a key IMO.

When x64 drivers come out, I'll be getting it for sure. They are just sooo slow with it!

Well it seems nobody here has used it. It doesn't seem to popular. But from what I have heard before, its the real deal and it works!
