    OCing question when gaming

    is it possible that if i dont OC my gpu and cpu then my games run smoother at higher settings than if NOT overclocked?

    because i think with call of duty 4, it happens like that

    if im just being crazy or blind, plz tell me!

    That will happen, if your overclock settings are causing the graphics card to overheat. Plus, there might be a driver conflict or error that is causing it.

    It shouldn't happen, but I guess it is possible...

    I've learned not to OC with COD4. Each card is different, but I think in the case of COD4 that should be a rule of thumb with overclocking. For some reason it just thrashes the card when it's OCed.
