    Recently bought this old game (Oblivion) + other expansions (Knight of Nines and Shivering Isles)

    Just a quick question about the playing sequence

    Should I finish playing the Oblivion original game and then install those expansion and continue the gameplay;
    OR
    Should I install Oblivion + Expansion(s) and start playing the game?

    Which one will be more enjoyable and which option would make the story line smoothest?

    Thanks :D

    will that make any difference to the story line?

    install all means installing both expansions (Knight of Nine + Shivering Isles)?

    i'm not sure but you'll probably have to explore the world to find the extra areas in the expansions. well that's how it was with morrowind

    You can install all of them together, it won't make much of a difference. The Shivering Isles expansion is a separate world accessed through a portal in Nibel Bay, so it won't affect your game as long as you don't enter before you finish regular Oblivion. :p

    Knights of the Nine changes are minimal; some different exclamations by NPCs and Anvil is a bit different, but its easy to avoid doing any of the KON quests before finishing Oblivion.

    I hope you plan on installing some mods to your game. There are many excellent mods that greatly improve the experience of the game. At the very least, get Streamline, as it helps smooth out the fps and reduce stuttering. PM me for other suggestions if you want.
