    Hey all,

I know there is another Oblivion thread here, but I was hoping to get this one started for one purpose: highlighting the mods out there that really are popular.

Please, post what mods you use, how well they work and what they do. Also, please post a link to download them (or the mod name if no link) so that we can all try them.

    Thanks,
    night_2004

P.S.: I heard about a Natural Environments Mod that greatly enhances the look of the game...anyone used it?

I heard about a really cool mod in PC Gaming Magazine that will allow old systems, all the way back to the GeForce 2 Series to play Oblivion! Pretty wild!

Havn't played it in a while. Got pretty bored of vanilla oblivion even after just getting to level 15 so i downloaded a lot of mods to fix some things i didnt like about it.

Here's a few of the ones i use.
    • * LOD & Normal map replacement.
    • * No Quest Marker. ( It was to easy to finish the quest with the marker )
    • * Hunger Thist Sleep ( To add some realism)
    • * Fatigue Effects (No more running forever )
    • * No Encumbered Swimming. (Yeah right .. swim wearing a full plate armor)
    • * More Realistic Encumberance. (No more carrying many full set of armor and other stuff)
    • * No Pshychic guards.
    • * Bank of Cydoriil
    • * Gold Weights ( Coins actually weight something )
    • * Random Oblivion (You have to be a daredevil venturing Cydoriil with this mod, since any creature can spawn any time at any level.)
    • * Weapon Rebalance
    • * "Some merchant mod" that improves the traders in the world.
    • * Restoration Rebalance
    • * Survival Crafting suite. (Craft any weapon or armor in the game)
    • * Kobus Character Advancement (New leveling calculation. Your stats will automaticly increase as your skills increase. And efter a certain ammount of stat increases you will gain a level.)
    • * Level slow. (Slower skill advancement)

and some more, but these are the main ones that really improve the gameplay and makes it a little bit more realistic.. =)

    / Cheers

    That's a serious list riggi.

The LOD replacements are definitely a must. I can't really tell the difference with Normal Map fix. Natural Environments is also a must, although I wish they'd fix it so the birds don't look like crap.
