Hey guys for anybody that gives this a quick read I really appreciate it. About a month ago I spilled water on the keyboard of my laptop. Stupid move, I know. It broke, and I took it into Best Buy. (Protection Plan FTW). They replaced the motherboard- I was just happy to still have my hard drive. Anyways, now any time I try to play a game I crash at the game's first loading screen. Note that these are games I ran fine prior to my incident. Steam support said that my graphics drivers were out of date, so I took care of that and the Steam diagnostic report doesn't report anything wrong now, except for a "Low" warning about my McAfee virus protection (school mandate). So, my Sony Vaio (VGN-SZ110) with the GeForce Go 7400 loses power instantly at the first loading screen of any game I try to play. Can you guys offer any advice? Thanks a ton in advance, I really appreciate it.

If you suspect its a hardware issue, take it into BestBuy again to use your protection plan.

Did you install some drivers from Nvidia or you run on the default Windows drivers?

I would suggest downloading the newest drivers.

They replaced the motherboard? They may have put in a new board, that is not QUITE the same. (A little newer by a rev or two) I would have to say, try a format reinstall before going back.
