Does anyone know of a free FPS I could set up on office computers to play over the network and possibly online to compete between offices?

Personally I think it's a lost cause and I'm going to push CS again and tell the others to stop being cheap even though I could probably buy CS 1.6 pretty cheaply but it's worth a shot.

I used to play America's Army but I'm not sure it's possible to play on these computers and I wasn't impressed with it in the first place but that's my fallback if no one else knows of anything.

there are a lot of good free FPS games.

these are popular free games that can run on quake III class systems:

    Alien Arena 2007
    Nexuiz
    Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
    Tribes

these games are also free, but will require higher end (quake IV class) systems to run them:

    America's Army
    FEAR (top choice)

Are you in the IT department? Be careful if you are not as this might be against company rules.

Hell, just get the demo version of Quake 3. Still tons of fun to play, and runs on any computer made in the last 5 years.

Lol what kind of business is this?

You could try Doom 2, I think it's legally free now but I'm not sure.

    FEAR's MP component is free.

However, I seriously doubt that office machines are capable of running the game at playable speeds and quality.

I second the Enemy Terroritory idea. Its a decent game with minimal requirements.

Yea, FEAR is a beast to run. May be hard on office computers.

It would be after business hours. One of my bosses used to play Quake in his old office after business hours with the rest of the guys and wanted to know if it would be possible to set something up like that. Plus, we could then beat up on the guys in the old office who he still hangs out with.

FEAR is definitely, though unfortunately, out of the question, however, Wolfenstein does sound like a good option or I could just figure out if there are any copies of Quake lying around.
