When they say "iconic locations in the European Theater," you can bet your butt they mean D-Day.

War lasted for six years, but we still get the same old story. It's like there was nothing else...
Devs could at least move beyond Omaha Beach, at least use a different landing side...
Then again, this is CoD we are talking. Devs are so lazy, they just don't care. Slap a paint of WWII over spunkgargleweewee and you're good to go. People will still eat it.
    Basically the same like BF1.

BF1 was a historical atrocity because the game is built largely around prototype guns that didn't at all reflect how weapons were used during the war. It's not just that the specific models were wrong; entire genres were wrong. People running and gunning with submachine guns and autoloading battle rifles? That's not WWI, that's WWII with a WWI skin pack.

As for COD WWII, it'd be great to see Italy, or North Africa, or Kursk, or the Continuation War (Finland vs USSR)...anything besides the same old D-Day, hedgerow fighting, Battle of the Bulge, and Stalingrad levels.

I would even say it's a reskined modern day shooter aka spunkgarglewee.

IIRC CoD UO had Kursk (together with tank battle near Prohorovka) together with other locations (Kharkov, France), and Africa was in CoD II.
But otherwise I agree with your statement. Give us more varied locations!
