The new GeForce 334.89 WHQL driver is now available to download. Headline features include performance optimizations of up to 19%, over a dozen new and improved 3D Vision profiles, half a dozen new SLI profiles, and support for the newly-launched GeForce GTX TITAN Black, GeForce GTX 750 Ti, and GeForce GTX 750. Additionally, there are numerous tweaks and changes to ensure maximum performance and system stability in all titles, as detailed in the release notes.

    Performance Optimizations

Today’s Microsoft-certified WHQL driver increases performance by up to 19% in over half a dozen titles. Gains were measured on the GeForce GTX TITAN, GTX 780 Ti, GTX 780, and GTX 770, but should apply to other GPUs also. (please note that results will vary depending on your GPU and system configuration).

    Up to 19% in F1 2013
Up to 18% in Sleeping Dogs
Up to 16% in Hitman Absolution
Up to 15% in Company of Heroes 2
    Up to 10% in Assassin’s Creed 3
Up to 7% in BioShock Infinite
Up to 6% in Sniper Elite V2
Up to 5% in Total War: Rome 2

    3D Vision

Unlike the majority of 3D movies, 3D games truly immerse you in the action, dramatically enhancing your experience with layered effects that bring games to life in a way no other technology can. To enjoy 3D Vision-enhanced games you'll need a compatible NVIDIA GPU, a 3D Vision monitor (we recommend models equipped with LightBoost, fast response panels), and a pair of 3D Vision 2 glasses (with an emitter if one isn't built in to your monitor). Simply plug and play, and press the predefined hotkey in-game to activate 3D.

    SLI

Upgrade your rig with a second NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU to activate SLI, the multi-GPU technology of choice for gamers. NVIDIA SLI intelligently scales graphics performance by combining multiple GeForce GTX GPUs on an SLI certified motherboard, increasing performance by up to 2x. With over 1,500 supported games, and day-of-release SLI profiles for the latest titles, SLI is the technology of choice for gamers who demand the very best.

Yep, installed earlier today when GeForce Experience told me they were released. Install went fine, and so far no issues to report.

ROFL gained 1 FPS in Sleeping Dogs and Hitman: Absolution compared to 332.21 WHQL. So much for the claims of "up to 18%" and "up to 16%."

    Sleeping Dogs:

    Hitman:

But now Battlefield 2 is all messed up. Flickering black patches everywhere. Oh well, back to 332.21 for me.

But they specifically say the increased performance is for the GeForce GTX 770/780/TITAN/780Ti, which you don't have.

In what way? Don't have Far Cry 3 installed ATM but I could check Blood Dragon.

BF2 is artifacting with this driver but it also fixes the blank pages issue with Google Chrome on previous drivers that was driving me insane.

Stick with this driver or revert to a previous one? Hmmm decisions decisions. I think I'll probably stay with this one as I can stop playing the problematic games in the meantime but I refuse to use any browser except Chrome.

Also Hitman and Sleeping Dogs were crashing non-stop (not related to OC) after this driver update until I verified game cache through Steam and it replaced the exe's. Now it's all good.

Gotta say, this is the most problematic Nvidia driver I've used in some time LOL. Last one this bad was one of the R331's that came out around BF4 release which would TDR in SLI unless I disabled UEFI.

Farcry 3 had massive stutter. I'll probably switch back to the previous drivers which worked great.

    UPDATE

Sorry for any mis-information. I went home tonight and realized my Throttlestop profile was set to a battery profile. The stuttering was purely from trying to run the game at 2500 Mhz

What's the process of installing Nvidia drivers? my last laptop had a 5870M and I used safe mode + driver cleaner each time. Is this still necessary or can I just install over the current ones?

Nah that's not necessary every time and would be quite a nuisance if you update your drivers often. I always just install them over the old ones for both Nvidia and AMD (I have AMD GPU in my desktop). The installer does a pretty decent job of removing the old driver before installing the new one, but it's not completely thorough. That's what Driver Sweeper/Driver Fusion and DDU are for. But I only do the Safe Mode cleanup with those tools if I'm having serious system-breaking issues with a previous driver and updating using the normal method doesn't fix it.

This update gave me a weird problem, when I play Final Fantasy XIV with 334.89 there's always pulses of lag when in 8 men battles (Titan Extreme etc), gets even worse in 24 men raid, revert back to 326.80 and everything is fine again.

Anyone play Shift 2? This update seemed to make the infamous activation loop occur.
