This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Official nVidia Mobile Forceware allows overclocking

    Nvidia is now releasing mobile forceware, similar to how they do desktop drivers. The MOBILE FORCEWARE 179.28 allows software based overclocking with my 9800M GTX with the nVidia System Tools addon. This is great for all those who have not been able to softclock before.

    I have not benched it yet, but I'm sure it will be good.
