When I go to nVidia's website, they only give me the option of downloading the GO 7800GTX or GO 7900GS driver, neither of which recognize the GO 7800... WTF is the deal? I'm using a hacked XG driver right now, which I'm fine with, but I would rather have an official driver...

Have you checked whether the regular Geforce driver works?

I think dell will have the official "dell" drivers that were the same as nvidia. go to support and then downloads, youll find it. good luck

I don't know why Nvidia's 'mobile' drivers don't work straight out - have a look at the driver update guide and follow the steps for installing the LaptopVideo2Go drivers - you'll have to replace the .INF file to make them work:

The Go 7900 drivers on NVIDIA's site are the first reference drivers they've ever released for a mobile GPU. For "official" support, you still technically have to rely on the notebook manufacturer. Otherwise, you have to use a hacked .inf like the ones at laptopvideo2go.

For some reason Nvidia never supported their laptop cards till realitively recently. And the only ones they support are the highest end ones.
If you want official drivers you have to get the hacked officials through laptopvideo2go.
Official nVidia driver for GO 7800... where is it?
