Ok, this is an old 360 degree flying shooter but it is fantastic. There are a few guys who are still updating it and have made some great improvements.
It is called Forsaken and kind of like Descent but better in my opinion.
It is multiplayer and single player.

Here is the site that explains the whole thing:

OMG! I remember this game, I was a huge Descent fan of the day and remember this game quite fondly... Thanks! +1

You're welcome. This really is a classic that didn't get much attention at the time. The guys at ProjectX are keeping it alive. It is worth a look.

About a year ago, I played through Descent 3 again for old times' sake (well, maybe not again, as I don't recall ever finishing it the first time round). I was utterly amazed that the game detected and allowed me to map my 360 controller with no workarounds. Some may call this blasphemy, but that game feels like it was meant to be played on a 55" screen with a controller.

Watching the gameplay videos, this looks just like D3.

I don't have a big screen setup but I do believe I would p*ss myself if playing this on anything over 25 inches. It does give D3 a run for the money (free).

I remember launching this game on my very first true 3D accelerator, Diamond Monster 3D aka 3Dfx Voodoo. The game was bundled with the card. It looked fantastic in 640x480 resolution and in 16-bit color palette. I miss the good old days...

Ha I never actually got to play this game, I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the link.

On a different note, I definitely do remember the full page ads in the gaming mags at the time with Donna and her tattoo :D

Takes some practice but the mouse controls your position such as up,down, sideways. Then the usual W, A, S, D for forward, back and sideways.

Really easy to get used to. Lot's of fun.

I remember this game, as well. My first rig had a 3Dfx Voodoo 2 card and I was amazed when I saw the game graphics. It was one of the best 360 flying shooters at the time.

Thanks! I'll download it again and play it for ots. :)

    Anyone in on multi-player?

EDIT: I got in contact with the community working on the project and they were cool in helping out with more links to other downloads, like new textures and stuff.
