So Im really a noob when it comes to things like this. So I will try to lay out what I have read and found as best I can.

    my system
    Toshiba Satellite P105 series
    core duo 2.0
    nvidia 7900gs
    2gb ram
    120 gb 5400 rpm HD

My 3dmark06 scores are in the high 3800s low 4ks depending on clock.

    Game requirements ( www.airrivals.net)
Min 1ghz P3, 512 mb ram, GPU with 32mb mem,
    Rec 1.8 P4, 1gb ram, 64mb GPU

From what I have read this game is coded so that it poorly uses your CPU to render objects instead of your GPU. I notice that I get no more then 50 fps when alone in a map and it drops down to 5-20 fps when lots of people are around. Ive also heard something along the lines that it doesnt support duel core processors and that it will max out a single core without utilizing the second...

Any ideas? Im looking for ways to improve my FPS.

    short vid of the game...

well...the youtube video seem to suggest the game working fine even with a lot of people on the screen, so I can only speculate that it may most likely be the problem with your computer.

    - Update your video driver, use the ones found @ laptopvideo2go.com, and use Driver Clean Pro before installing new drivers

    - Internet connection speed. The more people are on the screen at once, the more internet intensive the game will become...it might not be a problem with your comp as much as a slow internet connection. If you are using wifi, then makesure you enable the uPnP feature on your router (Since the instructions vary from router to router, Google up for specific instructions). Also, just to troubleshoot, try to turn everything to min, and see the performance of the game with a lot of people on screen. If the performance is just as bad with everything on min as it is with everything on max, then you probably have got some problems with either your router or comp.

I don't know if what you heard was true or not but my friend who has a fajitsu laptop with a P4, and go 9700 and he can play the game smoothly on high. He didn't use a FPS counter, and I didn't bother asking either, but he said the game is old so it runs very well on his system.

I think it's a problem with your connection because for example when I'm in empty space in sro it's smooth as silk yet when I get into an overcrowded city, my fps take a hit but not all the time...

Im already using new drivers and also using rivatuner.

My connection is Verizon fios. 6mb dl and 3mb ul. Its not a connectivity issue. My latency is only 150ms to a server that is in germany.

I know its not my connection.
